A world-wide manufacturer, headquartered in the San Fernando Valley, CA, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Safety Program Administrator for our operation.

The ideal candidate will be expected to drive IIPP, Environmental, Safety, and Industrial Hygiene Programs, and ensure compliance with all applicable government laws and regulations. Primary responsibilities for this position will be to develop, manage, and coordinate all procedures and activities as they relate to site safety, health and work environment in order to reduce occupational injuries, illnesses and the accompanying financial losses. The successful candidate will also serve as a consultant to managers and supervisors on accident prevention and loss control enhancements, and provide interpretation of related policies and procedures.

In conjunction with the Human Resources Department, this position will administer the Workers Compensation and return-to-work programs. Minimum Qualifications: BS Degree plus five years' experience in a general manufacturing environment, with progressive safety responsibilities and leadership. The Carpinteria Sanitary District is seeking a Safety and Training Officer to develop, implement and maintain the safety and OSHA compliance programs for four cooperating sanitary districts – Carpinteria Sanitary District, Goleta West Sanitary District, Montecito Sanitary District and Ojai Valley Sanitary District - located within a 25 mile radius.
